Helston Picnic Pride is back for 2026! Organised by Helston Town Council, this free afternoon at Coronation Park celebrates our local LGBTQIA+ community with live music, free crafting, local acts and support groups.

Everyone is invited.

This is Helston Town Council’s annual celebration of pride, community and togetherness – a day for everyone to come together and show that Helston is a place where everyone is welcome.

Bring a picnic, grab a coffee from Lakeside Cafe, and enjoy an afternoon of music, creativity and connection by the lake.

Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, an ally, or just looking for a lovely afternoon in the park with your family, Helston Picnic Pride is for you.

Event-Specific Information

• Suitable for all ages. Everyone is welcome.
• This is a free event organised by Helston Town Council. No booking required — just turn up!
• Free crafting activities available.
• Support groups and community organisations will be present.

What do I need to know?

• This open-air event takes place in Events Square, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park, Helston, TR13 0RA.
• Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets. Seating is not provided.
• Lakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.
• Outdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, so please dress for the Cornish weather and bring a coat.
• There is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.
• There is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us, please email Guy at guy@lovehelston.co.uk.
• There are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.
• Events may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and its partner companies/organisations for evaluation, promotion or other projects. Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of this.
