Great food, great music, great vibes. Helston’s own Pica Rico bring their vibrant Mexican street food to Trevow Chapel for one unmissable evening – with a soundtrack to match.

Jenn and Francis have been on a journey from pop-up taquerias in London to travelling through Mexico learning ancestral cooking techniques, before landing in Cornwall and opening their much-loved deli right here in Helston. Their food celebrates the best of both worlds – authentic Mexican flavours made with locally sourced Cornish produce, from day-boat fish to organic vegetables from local market gardeners. Stone-ground corn masa, incredible tacos, fresh ceviches and all the bold flavours Mexico has to offer.

With a DJ setting the tone for the evening. The tracks as carefully curated as the food, building from chilled grooves into something that bit more funky. Think cold drinks, warm tostadas, and a vibe that makes you forget you’re in Cornwall for a moment.

Pre-booking your tickets for this event helps us to plan and avoid wastage – thank you. You are booking for 1x main meal/tostada. All bookings are for the same food regardless of which option you select. Show your ticket to Jenn and Francis when you arrive.

The South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. To try and make our events as accessible as possible, we are offering various ticket prices for this event. Please book the ticket that reflects what you can afford right now. You won’t be asked any questions and your ticket options won’t be shared with anyone.

What do I need to know?

• Due to the forecasted rain this event will now take place at Trevow Chapel, Meneage Road, Helston, TR13 8BH.
• There is a large pay and display car park opposite the Helston Medical Centre, Trelawney Rd, Helston TR13 8AU. This is a 5-10 minute walk away. It is possible to drop-off and pick-up immediately outside the chapel building.​
• There is level access from the tarmac path into the side door of the chapel. There is space inside the chapel for wheelchairs. The seating will be on benches. If we can support you at our event in other ways please contact us on hello@trevowhelston.co.uk
• A small pop-up bar will be available at this event. Card payments only.
• We currently have limited facilities at our new venue. Please be aware that we will be using an accessible portaloo for this event.​
• It is the ticket buyer’s responsibility to let their party know that we may photograph, film and record our events. These photos, films and recordings may be used at any time for evaluation, promotion or in connection with other projects both for the South Kerrier Alliance CIC, Trevow Helston CIC and the organisations we work with.
