Come join us for a fun and informative Scooter and Skateboard Workshops at Coronation Park, Helston! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned rider, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about skateboarding and scooters. Our experienced instructors will cover everything from basic maintenance to advanced tricks. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to improve your skills and meet fellow enthusiasts. See you there! (The recommended age for this workshop is 5+ years)

All participants should arrive with appropriate footwear – which includes trainers, gym shoes or plimsolls. Please do not wear sandals (including crocs), flip-flops or other open-toed shoes, or shoes with raised heels or wedges.

All coaches are experienced, with DBS certificates and child safeguarding training.

This event is insured through South Kerrier Alliance CIC Community Group Membership of Skateboard GB, the National Governing Body for skateboarding.

The South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events.

To try and make our events as accessible as possible, we are offering various ticket prices for this event and a free ticket draw. Please book the ticket that reflects what you can afford right now. You won’t be asked any questions and your ticket options won’t be shared with anyone.

If you cannot afford a ticket right now please enter our free ticket draw. We will give away as many tickets as we are able to and we will inform you if you have won tickets a minimum of three days before the event. To enter the ticket draw please head to ticket page and select ‘Workshop Draw’ Ticket option.

CANCELLATIONS

We know that sometimes life can be busy and plans can change, please make sure you let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to make a booked session. These sessions are always oversubscribed with a waiting list and unfortunately in the past when people have failed to attend with no notice we have had no time to offer these spaces to the children on the waiting list. Because of popularity of these workshops if you fail to give notice of a cancellation this will impact on future workshop bookings you may wish to make.

What do I need to know?

• This event takes place in the Skatepark in Coronation Park, Helston, TR13 0RA.
• You will need to have purchased a ticket and completed the waiver form before being able to attend the Skate or Scooter workshop.
• There is a small pay and display car park next to the Park, proceeds from the car park supports the upkeep of Coronation Park.  There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.
• For daytime events, Lakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams, cakes and a range of family-friendly lunchtime meals.
• There is level access to Coronation Park and into the Skate Park.  If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us please email Debbie at debbie@theoldcattlemarket.co.uk
• There are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.
• Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted inside the Skate Park.
• Events may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and it’s partner companies/organisations at any time for evaluation, promotion or other projects. Please be aware that it is the ticket buyer’s responsibility to inform members of their party that this will be happening.
• Tickets are non-refundable.
