Gateway Project

The Helston Gateway project is an SKA community-led project which acquired and refurbished a derelict, town centre supermarket building to create much-needed facilities and services for our area.

Supported with UK Shared Prosperity Funding, SKA created a large, new GP surgery alongside community space in the upper ground floor. The GP surgery is the anchor tenant with this rental income helping to support new community facilities in the lower ground floor and ensuring the project’s sustainability.

The lower ground floor is designed for families and young people and includes a café, activities space including climbing and bouldering, skating, skateboarding, venue for events, music and band practice plus a music studio.
