Can you find them all? \nBobo\, the loveable character from Caroline Pedler’s The Accidental Gardener\, has been busy planting up his seedlings – but these aren’t ordinary seedlings. \nWeird\, wonderful\, colourful and made from all sorts of materials by members of the community\, the giant seedlings have popped up in shops and venues right across town. \nYour mission: find them all\, complete your trail\, then head to Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park to claim your prize! \nRunning throughout May half term\, this free family trail is the perfect excuse to explore Helston’s shops and streets with your family before heading to Coronation Park. \nPick up a trail from anywhere in town displaying a seedling – don’t worry\, you’ll spot them. \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nSuitable for all ages.\nThis is a free\, self-guided trail. No booking required.\nThe trail runs across Helston town centre\, not just the park.\nPick up a trail from Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park or from participating shops and venues across town.\nPrizes can be claimed at Lakeside Cafe in Coronation Park.\nAlso happening during May half term: Story Quest Day at Coronation Park (Friday 30th May) — a creative outdoor adventure where stories come to life across the park\, rounding off a week-long celebration of words and stories in Helston.\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThe trail finishes at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA\, but takes place across town.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nThe trail runs in all weather – so bring a coat on wet days!\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Solve the riddles to find hidden objects\, create pocket stories\, invent your own wild and wacky character and be entertained by the fabulous Story Republic! \nStory Quest Day is the grand finale of The Story Lab – a week-long celebration of words and stories that transforms Helston into a living literary adventure across the May half term. Throughout the week\, Trevow Helston teams up with Cornwall’s writing centre\, The Writers’ Block\, to bring workshops\, events and drop-in sessions to venues all over town — from memoir writing and manga workshops to poetry\, zine-making\, an open mic speakeasy and The Story Lab at Trevow Chapel\, where you can become a Story Inventor and create your own characters and stories. \nStory Quest Day brings the adventure outdoors and into Coronation Park for a creative family day to round off the week. \nPerfect for curious minds\, budding writers and anyone who loves a good tale. \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nSuitable for all ages.\nThis is a free event. No booking required — just turn up!\nWear comfortable shoes for exploring the park.\nAlso running during May half term: Bobo’s Giant Seedling Trail (23rd–31st May) — hunt down Bobo’s escaped giant seedlings across town and claim your prize at the park café!\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThis event takes place across Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nThe event will go ahead in all but the most extreme weather conditions\, so please dress for the Cornish weather.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. DESCRIPTION:Come and find out what we are all about!\nEveryone’s welcome\n11am-4pm  Saturday 30 May\nWe are opening our doors to the curious of Helston\, young people who are thinking about joining us\, families from the town\, parents and guardians who would like to find out a bit more about what happens here. There are FREE activities for young people all day as well as demonstrations and performances from our young people. \nThe programme will look like this: \n\n\nGraffiti 11am-1pm – Join Cosmic and help design a mural for our outdoor space! The theme is ‘Everyone is Welcome’ \n\n\nHN Dance Collective 11am-12pm – We kick off with a performance from HN Collective followed by the opportunity to join in and learn some street dance moves. \n\n\nStop Animation 12-4pm – Meet Tamara and add your own frames to our special stop animation. \n\n\nLive DJs 1-3pm – Playing outside if the weather is fine! \n\n\nCoach Frank Scooters 1-2.30pm – Join Coach Frank and learn new tricks and moves. \n\n\nBuild a Band performance 1-2pm – Young People from the recent Build a Band courses will be show casing their newly formed bands and technical skills. \n\n\nJoin and Jam Session 2-3pm – Bring your instrument or pick up one of ours and join our informal jam session. \n\n\nGraffiti 2-4pm – Join Cosmic and help design a mural for our outside space! The theme is ‘Everyone is Welcome’ \n\n\nCoach Frank Skateboards 3-4pm – Find out what our indoor skate lessons are all about\, trial the ramps\, pick up new skills and sign up to our weekly sessions. \n\n\nBOOK NOW for: \n\n\nFamily Silent Disco 4.30- 5.30pm – Fun for all the family\, come and experience our venue before the teens take it back! BOOK HERE \n  \n\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nWho is The Basement for?\nThe Basement isn’t just another youth centre – it’s the space you asked for\, designed by you\, built for you. The space is primarily for 13-18 year olds. Your basement. Your rules. Your future starts here.\n\nI need dropping off in a car. Where?\nThe Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park. \n\n\nDo I have to book?\nWe have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and\, if we have room\, you’ll be able to come in. \n\n\nWhat is access like?\nWe have level\, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets.
