DESCRIPTION:FREE Yoga in Coronation Park\nwith Kirsty\nA South Kerrier Alliance Funded Project\nMultiple Dates starting Sunday 7th June until Sunday 6th September (NOTE:  No yoga on Sunday 28th June)\nYoga is beneficial for both the body and mind\, offering a range of physical and mental health advantages.  It enhances flexibility\, strength and balance\, while also promoting stress relief and improved mental well-being. Regular practice can lead to better sleep\, reduced anxiety\, and improved mood.  \nThe South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. \nThe series of Yoga sessions in Coronation Park is being funded by South Kerrier Alliance CIC.  If you would like to support more free yoga sessions in the park and other events you can donate via this link Donate Here\n🧘 Yoga at Coronation Park – Everything You Need to Know\nWho can take part?We welcome everyone — from total beginners to experienced yogis! Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. \nHowever\, please note: \n\n\nIf you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. \n\n\nIf you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Yoga in the Park. \n\n\nKirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. \n\n\nYoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. \n\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! Please arrive on time as important safety info and the warm-up happen at the start. Latecomers won’t be able to join the session. \n\nAre families welcome?Yes! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer\, who should stay nearby at all times. Parents/carers are fully responsible for their children during the session. \n\nWhat should I bring? \n\n\nA yoga mat (or towel/blanket if you don’t have one). \n\n\nA limited number of mats will be available to borrow. \n\n\nWater and anything else to help you feel comfortable. \n\n\n\nWhat should I wear?Anything comfy that you can move and stretch in! \n\nWhat if it rains?Sessions continue in light rain under the Pavilion. For heavier weather\, check the Coronation Park Facebook page — cancellations will be announced at least 1 hour before the session. \n\nParking \n\n\nSmall pay & display car park at Coronation Park (proceeds support the park). \n\n\nLarger car park at Castle Green and nearby at Fairground Car Park. \n\n\n\nToiletsAvailable at The Old Cattle Market during yoga sessions. \n\nOther FAQs🚫 Dogs are not permitted at yoga sessions.📸 Events may be filmed/photographed and used by South Kerrier Alliance CIC or partners for promotion/evaluation. DESCRIPTION:🎵 ELECTRIC ROCK COLLECTIVE 🎵 31 May – 9 August\nAges 11-18 | 10 x Sunday Workshops | 12 noon – 4pm\n£50 for the full course – Just £5 per week (Supported by South Kerrier Alliance CIC)\nBOOK HERE\n\n\nWho are the Electric Rock Collective?\n \nImagine as many musicians as possible\, all playing together in perfect sync—big energy\, big sound\, big vibes (think mass rock performances for inspiration!). Now imagine you playing in that collective with friends old and new! Now imagine that you’ve practiced for 10 weeks and now your live on stage at Coronation Park. \nStop imagining and JOIN US… \nWhen: \n\nMay: 31\nJune: 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\nJuly: 5\, 12\, 19\nAugust: 2\, 9\n🕙 12.00 PM – 4:00 PM\n\nCost: £50 for all 10 sessions \nThe grand finale? A live performance at Busk It! on August 16th! \nWhat Happens Over the 10 weeks? \n🤝 SESSION 1: Meet The Collective \nFIRST: Get to know everyone through icebreakers and a casual jam session and then learn a song as a whole collective (Electric Orcestra) \nWe’ll figure out who plays what and at what level. \nTHEN: We choose a song YOU want to learn (within your genre—rock\, pop\, indie\, whatever your groove is). We start working on it together and getting the basics down. \nThis is where the magic starts—strangers become bandmates. \n🎸 SESSIONS 2 -9: Make It Sound Good \nPRACTICE\, practice\, practice. Get your song tight and performance-ready with guidance and support throughout the day. \nWork on: \n\nPlaying together as a unit\nTiming and dynamics\nBand communication\nMaking it sound polished\n\nIf we nail the song early? Great— we choose another one and keep the momentum going! \n🌟 SESSION 10: The Final Push \nFIRST: Final rehearsal to polish your performance. \nAnd then it’s time to… \n🌟 BUSK IT!: Show Time (Sunday 16 August) \nFinal rehearsal of the Electric Rock Collective Song (or songs!). \nSound check\, stage setup\, then it’s time to perform your song(s) to parents\, friends\, family and the community. Show them what you’ve accomplished together as a collective! \nFrom “nice to meet you” to “playing live together” in ten fun sessions. \nIs This For Me? \n✓ Perfect If You: \n\nCan already play your instrument at a basic level\nHave your own instrument (and amp if needed) Talk to use if you need an instrument to take part\, we will see if we can help.\nPractice at home but have never been in a band\nWant to meet other young musicians your age\nAre aged 11-18\nAre ready to commit to all 10 session (or as many as you can)\n\n✓ What Parents Should Know: \n\nStructured\, supervised sessions with experienced guidance\nTeaches collaboration\, commitment\, and confidence\nSafe environment for teens to develop social and musical skills\nAffordable at just £50 ( Support from the South Kerrier Alliance CIC allows us to keep the cost as low as possible – this works out at just £5 per session or just over £1.25 per hour!)\nCulminates in a real performance opportunity\nShort break factored in midway through the session\, bring a snack and water bottle.\n\nWhat You’ll Need to Bring \n🎸 Your own instrument\n🔌 Your amp (if you play electric guitar/bass)\n🎒 A snack and drinks bottle\, we have a top-up station\n💪 Enthusiasm and commitment for all 10 sessions \nIt’s best if you bring your own gear\, which you will use at your own risk. Where?\nThe Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park. \n\n\nDo I have to book?\nWe have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and\, if we have room\, you’ll be able to come in. \n\n\nWhat is access like?\nWe have level\, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets.
