DESCRIPTION:Helston Water Carnival\nSouth Kerrier Alliance\nSaturday 11th July (wet weather backup Sunday 12th July)\nFREE EVENT\nAhoy\, water warriors and fun-seeking families! Round up your crew and zoom down to Helston’s Water Carnival this summer – it’s back and bigger than ever! \nWe’re back for the third year with a floating float parade\, mini sailing boat race and a “Need for Speed” peddled float race! #LoveHelston \nTimings:\n12-2pm workshop\n2pm little boat race\n1.30pm judging\n2.30pm mini boat race finishes\n3pm Juding announcements\n3.30pm Grand Parade\n4pm Race \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nSuitable for all ages. Spectators welcome!\nThis is a free event. No booking required — just turn up!\nWet weather backup date: Sunday 12th July.\nDetails on how to enter a float will be announced closer to the event.\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThis event takes place around the Boating Lake at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nThe event will go ahead in all but the most extreme weather conditions\, so please dress for the Cornish weather.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us\, please email Guy at guy@lovehelston.co.uk.\nThere are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.\nEvents may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and its partner companies/organisations for evaluation\, promotion or other projects. Please make sure everyone in your party is aware of this.
