Whether you’re a curious newcomer\, a keen enthusiast\, or simply looking for a great day out\, there’ll be plenty to enjoy! \n👀 What to Expect: \n\n\nDozens of meticulously crafted\, radio-controlled model boats and yachts on display and in action \n\n\nA huge variety of models including lifeboats\, warships\, tugs\, paddle steamers\, fishing boats\, ferries\, and possibly even a seaplane! \n\n\nThemed flotillas running every 45 minutes throughout the day \n\n\nExpert model makers on hand to showcase how these incredible crafts are built – perfect for anyone interested in getting started! \n\n\nThe Camborne Pond Hoppers were founded in 2000 by the late Godfrey Copeland. Since then\, with the kind support of South Kerrier Alliance CIC\, the club has made its home at Coronation Park\, where it continues to thrive. The Spring Open Day is one of two exciting public events the club holds each year. \n🛶 Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see these remarkable creations in action in the heart of Helston – a fun\, fascinating\, and free day out for all ages! \nThis event is being organised and run by Camborne Pond Hoppers.

DESCRIPTION:Skillywidden\nby Squashbox Theatre\nTuesday 27th May at 2.30pm\nFREE EVENT\nLegend has it there are five types of faery in Cornwall: the Small Folk\, the Piskies\, the Knockers\, the Brownies and – most mischievous of all – the Spriggans. Come on a journey through the countryside as we search for these elusive creatures\, while at the same time learning all about the bees\, bats\, birds and butterflies who live alongside them. \nMeet Skillywidden\, the mischievous Pisky\, and all of his faery friends! Watch the dance of the ‘beautiful’ Faery Queen! Marvel at the incredible Book Of Nature as it literally comes alive before your eyes! Gasp at the antics of Brian\, the amazing mind-reading pig! \nWhat do I need to know? \n\nPlease bring your own chairs and/or blankets for this event. Seating is not provided.\nLakeside Cafe will be open\, serving a range of hot and cold drinks\, snacks and meals.\nThis open-air event takes place in Events Square\, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nOutdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions\, so please bring a coat (but not an umbrella as it blocks the view of other audience members).\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park\, all proceeds from this car park supports the running of Coronation Park.   There is a larger car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us please email Guy on guy@theoldcattlemarket.co.uk.\nThere are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.\nUnfortunately\, dogs are not permitted at events.\nEvents may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and it’s partner companies/organisations at any time for evaluation\, promotion or other projects. Please be aware that it is the ticket buyer’s responsibility to inform members of their party that this will be happening.
