Using puppetry\, singing and sensory play\, Hello Beach creates a wonderfully calm and captivating experience for the very youngest audience members. \nFrom the same Cornwall-based company behind the acclaimed Hello Birds\, this gentle sensory show uses sound\, colour\, texture and small puppets to bring the seaside to life. Little ones can explore\, touch\, listen and join in – a beautiful first introduction to live performance. \nPerfect for babies\, toddlers and their grown-ups. Just turn up and get ready to say hello to the beach! \nSupport free events at Coronation Park \nThis year\, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. If days like this matter to you and your community\, please consider making a donation here. \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nDesigned for children aged 0–2 years and their grown-ups.\nThis is a free event. No booking required — just turn up!\nThe show is gentle and sensory-friendly.\nApproximate running time: 30 minutes.\nWe kindly ask that the ratio between adults and infants is 1:1.\n\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThis open-air event takes place in Events Square\, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nOutdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions\, so please dress for the Cornish weather and bring a coat.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. World-renowned explorer Jeremiah Johnson has handed the running of his animal collection over to his inexperienced nephew Craig… and things don’t quite go as planned. \nExpect performing fleas\, skateboarding snails\, gymnastic gerbils\, irritable alligators\, over-excited elephants\, and a very intelligent orang-utan – all brought to life through Craig Johnson’s brilliant puppetry\, storytelling\, comedy and live music. You’ll learn amazing facts about how animals evolved and how their adaptations help them survive in the wild. After all\, we’re all related if you go back far enough! \nSquashbox Theatre’s shows are a much-loved fixture of the Coronation Park summer programme. A former member of Cornwall’s renowned Kneehigh Theatre\, Craig combines natural history\, slapstick and a gently subversive sense of humour that delights adults just as much as children. The space is primarily for 13-18 year olds. Your basement. Your rules. Your future starts here.\n\nI need dropping off in a car. Where?\nThe Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park. \n\n\nDo I have to book?\nWe have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and\, if we have room\, you’ll be able to come in. \n\n\nWhat is access like?\nWe have level\, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets.
