Can you find them all? \nBobo\, the loveable character from Caroline Pedler’s The Accidental Gardener\, has been busy planting up his seedlings – but these aren’t ordinary seedlings. \nWeird\, wonderful\, colourful and made from all sorts of materials by members of the community\, the giant seedlings have popped up in shops and venues right across town. \nYour mission: find them all\, complete your trail\, then head to Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park to claim your prize! \nRunning throughout May half term\, this free family trail is the perfect excuse to explore Helston’s shops and streets with your family before heading to Coronation Park. \nPick up a trail from anywhere in town displaying a seedling – don’t worry\, you’ll spot them. \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nSuitable for all ages.\nThis is a free\, self-guided trail. No booking required.\nThe trail runs across Helston town centre\, not just the park.\nPick up a trail from Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park or from participating shops and venues across town.\nPrizes can be claimed at Lakeside Cafe in Coronation Park.\nAlso happening during May half term: Story Quest Day at Coronation Park (Friday 30th May) — a creative outdoor adventure where stories come to life across the park\, rounding off a week-long celebration of words and stories in Helston.\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThe trail finishes at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA\, but takes place across town.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nThe trail runs in all weather – so bring a coat on wet days!\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nIf you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us\, please email Guy at guy@lovehelston.co.uk.\nThere are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.\nEvents may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and its partner companies/organisations for evaluation\, promotion or other projects. In this hands-on workshop\, artist Karen Howse will show you how to create a zine — a DIY publication you design yourself\, from scratch\, in an afternoon. \nCut\, stick\, stamp\, draw\, collage\, and even type on a real typewriter. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to make a mess. \nAs part of What(areyour)3Words\, you’ll also explore the art of erasure poetry — hunting through existing text to find hidden words and stories. What three words will you uncover today? \nPerfect for ages 11+ \nWhat(areyour)3Words is a Trevow Helston & Writers’ Block community project taking place across Helston in May half term. Utilising the concept of What3Words as a unique location device and turning it into a method of story generation and collection.\n\nForget the algorithm. Make something with your hands!\n\n\n\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nWho is The Basement for?\nThe Basement isn’t just another youth centre – it’s the space you asked for\, designed by you\, built for you. The space is primarily for 13-18 year olds. Your basement. Your rules. Your future starts here.\n\nI need dropping off in a car. Where?\nThe Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park. \n\n\nDo I have to book?\nWe have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and\, if we have room\, you’ll be able to come in. \n\n\nWhat is access like?\nWe have level\, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets.
