DESCRIPTION:FREE Yoga in Coronation Park\nwith Kirsty\nA South Kerrier Alliance Funded Project\nMultiple Dates starting Sunday 7th June until Sunday 6th September (NOTE:  No yoga on Sunday 28th June)\nYoga is beneficial for both the body and mind\, offering a range of physical and mental health advantages.  It enhances flexibility\, strength and balance\, while also promoting stress relief and improved mental well-being. Regular practice can lead to better sleep\, reduced anxiety\, and improved mood.  \nThe South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. \nThe series of Yoga sessions in Coronation Park is being funded by South Kerrier Alliance CIC.  If you would like to support more free yoga sessions in the park and other events you can donate via this link Donate Here\n🧘 Yoga at Coronation Park – Everything You Need to Know\nWho can take part?We welcome everyone — from total beginners to experienced yogis! Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. \nHowever\, please note: \n\n\nIf you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. \n\n\nIf you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Yoga in the Park. \n\n\nKirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. \n\n\nYoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. \n\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! Please arrive on time as important safety info and the warm-up happen at the start. Latecomers won’t be able to join the session. \n\nAre families welcome?Yes! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer\, who should stay nearby at all times. Parents/carers are fully responsible for their children during the session. \n\nWhat should I bring? \n\n\nA yoga mat (or towel/blanket if you don’t have one). \n\n\nA limited number of mats will be available to borrow. \n\n\nWater and anything else to help you feel comfortable. \n\n\n\nWhat should I wear?Anything comfy that you can move and stretch in! \n\nWhat if it rains?Sessions continue in light rain under the Pavilion. For heavier weather\, check the Coronation Park Facebook page — cancellations will be announced at least 1 hour before the session. \n\nParking \n\n\nSmall pay & display car park at Coronation Park (proceeds support the park). \n\n\nLarger car park at Castle Green and nearby at Fairground Car Park. \n\n\n\nToiletsAvailable at The Old Cattle Market during yoga sessions. \n\nOther FAQs🚫 Dogs are not permitted at yoga sessions.📸 Events may be filmed/photographed and used by South Kerrier Alliance CIC or partners for promotion/evaluation. Attendees are responsible for informing their group. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ready Steady Play! — Playful Park Launch\nSouth Kerrier Alliance\nSunday 26th July | from 11am\nFREE EVENT — Playful Park\nSupported by Helston Town Council\nToday\, Coronation Park gets seriously colourful. Welcome to Playful Park! \nWe’re launching with a bang — come and be the first to play on our spectacular new giant painted floor mural\, designed by local artist Lisa Curtis and packed with games for all ages. Race on our interactive running track. Discover the game pieces that the community helped make at our Play It Again workshop. See the bunting you helped create fluttering over the park. \nThe mural is free to play and here to stay — a permanent new addition to Coronation Park that families can enjoy all year round. The interactive running track will be in place all summer long too. \nToday is just the beginning of a whole summer of free family fun at the park. Come and play. It’s yours. \nWith thanks to Helston Town Council for supporting Playful Park. \nWhat is Playful Park? \nPlayful Park is our 2026 project transforming Coronation Park into a vibrant destination for family fun all summer long. At its heart is a spectacular giant painted floor mural designed by local artist Lisa Curtis — packed with games for all ages\, free to play and here to stay as a permanent new addition to the park. Alongside the mural\, there’s an interactive running track\, community bunting-making\, the Big Scribble (where you get to draw all over the paths!)\, a two-day games expo\, busking from local young musicians\, Play in a Day with the Minack\, roaming Commedia dell’arte\, Wake the Giant\, a family sports day and much more running right through the summer holidays. \nSupport free events at Coronation Park \nThis year\, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. Free cinema under the sky for your family. Free theatre for your kids. Free days out that don’t cost a penny. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. No booking required — just turn up!\nThe painted floor mural is a permanent installation — free to play all year round.\nThe interactive running track will be in place for summer 2026.\nDesigned by local artist Lisa Curtis.\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThis event takes place across Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nThe event will go ahead in all but the most extreme weather conditions\, so please dress for the Cornish weather.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park.
