DESCRIPTION:FREE Yoga in Coronation Park\nwith Kirsty\nA South Kerrier Alliance Funded Project\nMultiple Dates starting Sunday 7th June until Sunday 6th September (NOTE:  No yoga on Sunday 28th June)\nYoga is beneficial for both the body and mind\, offering a range of physical and mental health advantages.  It enhances flexibility\, strength and balance\, while also promoting stress relief and improved mental well-being. Regular practice can lead to better sleep\, reduced anxiety\, and improved mood.  \nThe South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. \nThe series of Yoga sessions in Coronation Park is being funded by South Kerrier Alliance CIC.  If you would like to support more free yoga sessions in the park and other events you can donate via this link Donate Here\n🧘 Yoga at Coronation Park – Everything You Need to Know\nWho can take part?We welcome everyone — from total beginners to experienced yogis! Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. \nHowever\, please note: \n\n\nIf you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. \n\n\nIf you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Yoga in the Park. \n\n\nKirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. \n\n\nYoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. \n\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! Please arrive on time as important safety info and the warm-up happen at the start. Latecomers won’t be able to join the session. \n\nAre families welcome?Yes! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer\, who should stay nearby at all times. Whether you’re a competitive parent\, a reluctant runner or just here for the cheering\, Family Sports Day is a brilliant\, silly\, joyful afternoon for the whole family. \nNo lycra required\, or encouraged… \nTurn up\, team up\, and get stuck in! \nWhat is Playful Park? \nPlayful Park is our 2026 project transforming Coronation Park into a vibrant destination for family fun all summer long. At its heart is a spectacular giant painted floor mural designed by local artist Lisa Curtis — packed with games for all ages\, free to play and here to stay as a permanent new addition to the park. Alongside the mural\, there’s an interactive running track\, community bunting-making\, the Big Scribble (where you get to draw all over the paths!)\, a two-day games expo\, busking from local young musicians\, Play in a Day with the Minack\, roaming Commedia dell’arte\, Wake the Giant\, a family sports day and much more running right through the summer holidays. \nSupport free events at Coronation Park \nThis year\, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. Squashbox Theatre close out the Coronation Park summer season with The Sea Show — a quirky and hilarious mix of puppet show\, natural history and comedy cabaret. \nMeet crazy characters like Morwenna the ‘beautiful’ mermaid\, Ruan the reformed seagull and salty seadog Captain Pemburthy\, alongside a cast of mischievous sea-squirts\, anemones\, limpets\, crabs and pilchards. Celebrate the sea with tall tales\, silly slapstick\, fantastic facts\, live music and songs — unmissable fun for children and adults of all ages! \nThe perfect way to round off a brilliant summer at the park.
