There is a larger Cornwall Council pay and display car park at Castle Green. DESCRIPTION:FREE Yoga in Coronation Park\nwith Kirsty\nA South Kerrier Alliance Funded Project\nMultiple Dates starting Sunday 7th June until Sunday 6th September (NOTE:  No yoga on Sunday 28th June)\nYoga is beneficial for both the body and mind\, offering a range of physical and mental health advantages.  It enhances flexibility\, strength and balance\, while also promoting stress relief and improved mental well-being. Regular practice can lead to better sleep\, reduced anxiety\, and improved mood.  \nThe South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. \nThe series of Yoga sessions in Coronation Park is being funded by South Kerrier Alliance CIC.  If you would like to support more free yoga sessions in the park and other events you can donate via this link Donate Here\n🧘 Yoga at Coronation Park – Everything You Need to Know\nWho can take part?We welcome everyone — from total beginners to experienced yogis! Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. Just turn up and get ready to say hello to the beach! \nSupport free events at Coronation Park \nThis year\, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. A regular practice helps to boost circulation\, strengthen your immune system\, and lift your mood — keeping both body and mind in balance through the darker months. \nSo instead of slowing down completely this winter\, roll out your mat and join us for some grounding\, heart-warming sessions. If you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Winter Wellness Yoga.  Kirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. Yoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk.\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! DESCRIPTION:🛹 Thursday Evening Drop-In Skate Sessions\nJoin Coach Frank every Thursday evening at The Basement for our drop-in skate sessions. \nDesigned for young people aged 11–18\, these sessions are a great opportunity to ride the indoor ramps\, learn new skills\, practise your tricks and get tips from Coach Frank and the team in a friendly\, supportive environment. \nWhether you’re just starting out or looking to perfect your latest trick\, you’ll have the chance to build confidence\, meet other skaters and enjoy skating in a safe indoor space. \n🕕 Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm \n💷 Cost: \n\nFREE for Basement members\n£5 per session for non-members\nNo need to book\, just turn up and skate!\n\n🎟️ Become a Basement Member\nWant to make the most of everything The Basement has to offer? We’ll provide some if you haven’t got any.\n\n\nAll participants should arrive with appropriate footwear – which includes trainers\, gym shoes or plimsolls. Please do not wear sandals (including crocs)\, flip-flops or other open-toed shoes\, or shoes with raised heels or wedges.\n\n\nWho is The Basement for?\nThe Basement isn’t just another youth centre – it’s the space you asked for\, designed by you\, built for you. The space is primarily for 11-18 year olds. Your basement. Your rules. Your future starts here.\n\n\nI need dropping off in a car. Where?\nThe Basement is in Trengrouse Way pay and display car park.\n\n\nDo I have to book?\nWe have a limited capacity and booking means we can guarantee you a space. You can still turn up on the day and\, if we have room\, you’ll be able to come in.\n\n\nWhat is access like?\nWe have level\, step-free access from the car park into the building as well as accessible toilets. But what if there were a way to stay warm\, energised\, and uplifted all season long?   Yoga is the answer. \nWinter’s cold and grey days can leave us feeling sluggish or low on motivation\, but yoga offers the perfect antidote. A regular practice helps to boost circulation\, strengthen your immune system\, and lift your mood — keeping both body and mind in balance through the darker months. \nSo instead of slowing down completely this winter\, roll out your mat and join us for some grounding\, heart-warming sessions. You’ll leave feeling recharged\, centred\, and ready to embrace the season with calm energy and vitality. \n✨ Stay warm. Stay well. Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time.  However\, please note: If you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. If you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Winter Wellness Yoga.  Kirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. Yoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk.\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! Please arrive on time as important safety info and the warm-up happen at the start. Latecomers won’t be able to join the session.\nAre families welcome?Yes! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer\, who should stay nearby at all times.
