Round up your crew and zoom down to Helston’s Water Carnival this summer – it’s back and bigger than ever! \nWe’re back for the second year with a floating float parade\, mini sailing boat race and *new for 2025* a “Need for Speed” peddled float race! #LoveHelston \nTimetable for the afternoon:\n12-2pm Free mini boat building workshop (bring an empty single-use plastic water bottle with you)\n2.30pm Mini boat race across the lake\n4pm Grand Parade pedalo-pulled floats\n4.30pm(ish) “Need for Speed” float race \nWhat do I need to know? \n\nLakeside Cafe will be open\, serving a range of hot and cold drinks\, snacks and meals.\nThis open-air event takes place in Events Square\, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nOutdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park\, all proceeds from this car park supports the running of Coronation Park.   There is a larger car park at Castle Green. Kirsty\, our qualified and experienced instructor\, is great at leading mixed-ability sessions. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. \nHowever\, please note: \n\n\nIf you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. \n\n\nIf you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Yoga in the Park. \n\n\nKirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. \n\n\nYoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. \n\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up! Please arrive on time as important safety info and the warm-up happen at the start. Latecomers won’t be able to join the session. \n\nAre families welcome?Yes! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer\, who should stay nearby at all times. Nobody knows more about animals than him. \nUnfortunately\, Jeremiah Johnson is currently lost somewhere in the jungles of Africa\, so he has handed the running of the park over to his inexperienced nephew Craig… and things don’t quite go as planned. \nExpect to meet curious creatures of all shapes and sizes: from performing fleas\, skateboarding snails and gymnastic gerbils to irritable alligators\, over-excited elephants\, and a very intelligent orang-utan! Learn about how animals evolved\, how their amazing adaptations help them survive in the wild\, and how animals can help us learn more about ourselves. After all\, we’re all related if you go back far enough! \nUsing puppets\, comedy\, slapstick and live music – plus lots of amazing natural history facts – Squashbox Theatre will uncover the mysteries of the animal kingdom. \n(No animals were harmed in the making of this show. It’s the perfect chance to try yoga for the first time. \nHowever\, please note: \n\n\nIf you’re under the care of a doctor or medical professional\, speak with them before attending. \n\n\nIf you’ve been advised not to take part in physical activity\, are pregnant\, or have a medical condition\, illness\, or injury\, please do not take part in Yoga in the Park. \n\n\nKirsty cannot offer specific medical advice\, but she ensures plenty of accessible options during the session. \n\n\nYoga is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. \n\nDo I need to book?No booking needed — just turn up!
