Squashbox Theatre close out the Coronation Park summer season with The Sea Show — a quirky and hilarious mix of puppet show\, natural history and comedy cabaret. \nMeet crazy characters like Morwenna the ‘beautiful’ mermaid\, Ruan the reformed seagull and salty seadog Captain Pemburthy\, alongside a cast of mischievous sea-squirts\, anemones\, limpets\, crabs and pilchards. Celebrate the sea with tall tales\, silly slapstick\, fantastic facts\, live music and songs — unmissable fun for children and adults of all ages! \nThe perfect way to round off a brilliant summer at the park. We’re grateful for the kind support of Lakeside Cafe\, whose generous sponsorship helps us bring Squashbox Theatre to the park for free every summer. \nThe Sea Show is the last of four free Squashbox shows at Coronation Park this summer: \n\nCurious Creatures — Friday 13th June\, 2.30pm\nStones & Bones — Monday 4th August\, 2.30pm\nSkillywidden — Saturday 22nd August\, 2.30pm\nThe Sea Show — Sunday 31st August\, 2.30pm\n\nAll four shows are completely free\, thanks to Lakeside Cafe. \nSupport free events at Coronation Park \nThis year\, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events — regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. If days like this matter to you and your community\, please consider making a donation here. \nEvent-Specific Information \n\nSuitable for all ages.\nApproximate running time: 50 minutes.\nThis is a free event. No booking required — just turn up!\nThe last event of the summer season — don’t miss it!\n\nWhat do I need to know? \n\nThis open-air event takes place in Events Square\, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park\, Helston\, TR13 0RA.\nPlease bring your own chairs and/or blankets. Seating is not provided.\nLakeside Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks\, ice creams\, cakes and a range of family-friendly meals.\nOutdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions\, so please dress for the Cornish weather and bring a coat. Please don’t bring umbrellas as they block the view for other audience members.\nThere is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park — all proceeds support the running of the park. There is a larger pay and display car park at Castle Green and at the nearby Fairground car park.\nThere is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us\, please email Guy at guy@lovehelston.co.uk.\nThere are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.\nEvents may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and its partner companies/organisations for evaluation\, promotion or other projects.
