Calling Explorers of all ages! Craig Johnson of Squashbox Theatre has teamed up with musicians Ben Sutcliffe and Zaid Al-Rikabi (The People’s String Foundation) to bring you Songs for Explorers, a fun-packed show for children and adults.

Featuring clever, catchy, toe-tapping songs about animals, nature, science and the amazing world around us, performed by three incredible musicians – who also happen to be very silly people! And – as if that is not enough – prepare to meet some of the crazy characters and puppets from your favourite Squashbox shows!

So put on your explorer’s hat and prepare to go on an awesome musical journey through the universe in Songs for Explorers!

Flexible Ticket Prices for Events

The South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events. To try and make our events as accessible as possible, we are offering various ticket prices for this event and a free ticket draw. Please book the ticket that reflects what you can afford right now. You won’t be asked any questions and your ticket options won’t be shared with anyone.

£14 Supporter Ticket
This ticket includes a donation to support South Kerrier Alliance CIC’s work

£10 Just a Ticket
This ticket covers our core costs of the event

£8 Helping You Ticket
If you can only afford this ticket right now we all understand

If you cannot afford a ticket right now please enter our free ticket draw. We will give away as many tickets as we are able to and we will inform you if you have won tickets a minimum of three days before the event. To enter the ticket draw please click here.

What do I need to know?

• Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets for this event. Seating is not provided.
• A licensed bar will be selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as snacks.
• This open-air event takes place in Events Square, directly outside Lakeside Cafe at Coronation Park, Helston, TR13 0RA.
• Outdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, so please bring a coat (but not an umbrella as it blocks the view of other audience members).
• There is a small pay and display car park at Coronation Park, proceeds from the car park supports the running of Coronation Park. There is a larger Cornwall Council pay and display car park at Castle Green. Free parking is available at the nearby Fairground car park.
• There is level access to Coronation Park and Events Square. If you have any additional access needs that you’d like to discuss with us please email Guy on guy@theoldcattlemarket.co.uk.
• There are accessible toilets at the rear of Lakeside Cafe.
• Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at events.
• Events may be filmed or photographed and the material may be used by the South Kerrier Alliance CIC and it’s partner companies/organisations at any time for evaluation, promotion or other projects. Please be aware that it is the ticket buyer’s responsibility to inform members of their party that this will be happening.
• Tickets are non-refundable.
